ADULT NYMP
Kissing Bugs also know as conenoses or Wallapai tigers, enter homes and feed on humans and pets, when bitten you may suffer an allergic reaction to the bites. This pest is most active at night, hiding during the day. They sense the presence of a blood meal by the carbon dioxide given off by their victims. If disturbed when feeding it will move to new feeding sites leaving several bites in close proximity leaving red raised welts. Because the humans usually sleep with their face uncovered at night, the bug often feeds on the face (hence “kissing bug”). To help prevent this pest home owners should reduce the presence of vegetation and wild vertebrate from areas around the home. Kissing bugs feed on small mammals often rodents. If you have any questions please feel free to call our offices, we can help as “WE KNOW BUGS” and how to deal with them….. EFFECTIVELY!
