This pest is beneficial and yet still makes us uncomfortable to have in our homes or places of business. The main reason spiders take up residence indoors is because a food source is present for it to feed on.  If it is a webbing spider and the webbing is low, it’s food source is a growing insect.  If the webbing is higher, it’s a flying insect food source. So if the food source is removed the spider usually will leave for greener pastures such as outdoors.
